Rev. Dr. Alice Kay Lovelace

Hi! I’m Alice, your teacher at Meditation Education.
Welcome and thanks for visiting! Let me introduce myself and my work. I’m an ordained minister in The United Methodist Church, and have served in congregational pastoral ministry for over a quarter century. I received my first Reiki treatment from Independent Reiki Master Margaret Knapke more than 18 years ago. I immediately began my Reiki training with Margaret, who certified me in Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3. By 2015 my desire to better support the health of my feline family members led me to Kathleen Prasad’s method, and I became certified in Animal Reiki Levels 1 and 2. That same year I became a volunteer at The Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Ohio.
Since then, I’ve served hundreds of hours sharing Reiki with thousands of animals. I’m a Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA) teacher, and my students include shelter and rescue volunteers and staff. I received my Level 3 training and certification from Kathleen at The C.A.R.E. Foundation in Florida in 2019, and again in 2020, where I shared Reiki meditation with exotic and wild animals, like Lola the bear, who became some of my most memorable teachers.
In January/February 2023 I’m re-sitting Level 3 online with Kathleen for ongoing professional development. Teaching Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki is my primary focus at Meditation Education, and I train and certify students online at Levels 1, 2, and 3. I love teaching this 8-week online course to students located around the globe, and will do my best to schedule a class time that works for both your time zone and mine. I teach LAL® Levels 1, 2, and 3 in person, as well. In addition, I offer both online and in-person non-certification classes related to Animal Reiki, prayer, and meditation.
As a certified pet loss grief specialist and companion animal end-of-life doula, I help people learn coping methods as they navigate the serious illness and death of their pet.
